The Innovation and Design Engineering Acceleration (IDEA) Lab is a collaboration with the Pitt Innovation Institute and the Swanson School of Engineering focused on supporting university innovation while integrating students into the Pitt innovation process.

The IDEA Lab runs IDEA Projects which are performed by professional staff and paid student interns. The lab also oversees and manages the XProjects which are student led projects with faculty and staff mentorship.
